Women's ministry at Knowlton is a call to liberation for any who labor under a burden of unfulfilled longing, anxiety and plain old guilt.  How often we find we have still not given up the idea that we can be saved through trying harder and being better!  It is an illusion.  And so we come together twice monthly in small groups, seasonally in large groups, to celebrate grace.  

Grace is knowing we are trapped and yet finding the courage to admit that we can find no ultimate answer to our problems either in ourselves or in others; we escape hopelessness only by asking for God.  And grace is not here to 'support' our efforts, grace is God's undeserved kindness and mercy in the person of Jesus Christ who rescues and transforms us.  And when we see God's grace for  for who he is we begin to live out of the reality of our safety and freedom as daughters of God.
